Whether you’re having a Halloween bash or just fancy whipping up some goodies, you’ll love these delicious recipes.

Decarb the cannabis

Before making cannabutter, you need to decarboxylate (or decarb) the cannabis to activate the beneficial cannabinoids inside the cannabis flower. The process of decarboxylation converts THCA into THC using heat, which will allow the butter to have THC and deliver the effects you’re looking for.

What you’ll need:

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Oven

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 245ºF. 
  • Cover the baking tray with parchment paper and place the loosely broken-up cannabis on it. 
  • Place in the oven for 30-40 minutes. Every 10-15 minutes check on the buds and mix them around to ensure all sides are evenly decarbed.
Once you have decarbed your cannabis, you can now move on to the next stage of making the cannabutter.

What you’ll need:

  • Saucepan
  • Cheesecloth or mesh strainer
  • Container or bowl for cannabutter
  • A cannabis grinder
  • Thermometer (optional)

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup of unsalted butter.
  • 1 Cup of water.
  • A Quarter ounce (7 grams) of Cannabis, choose a strain depending on strength preference.

PREPARATION

Grind the Cannabis – Take your decarbed cannabis and grind it up. Make sure your cannabis is ground nice and fine to make your cannabutter.

Method

  1. On a low heat, melt the butter in the saucepan, then add the water. This will help prevent the butter from burning.
  2. Once the butter is fully melted add the decarbed cannabis to the saucepan and mix it in thoroughly.
  3. Simmer the mixture on a low heat (around 150-200°F) for 2-3 hours. Make sure the temperature does not exceed 200°F as it might burn out the cannabinoids, the mixture should never come to a boil.
  4. After 2-3 hours of simmering, remove the saucepan from the heat. 
  5. Place the cheesecloth or mesh strainer over a container or bowl and pour the cannabis butter solution through it.
  6. Discard the plant material 
  7. Now place the container or bowl with the Cannabutter solution into the fridge for a few hours to solidify.

Now you’ve made your cannabutter, you can use it to make a whole range of delicious cannabis-infused edibles.

Spooktacular Sugar Cookies

Sugar cookies are a staple when it comes to Halloween sweet treats. So why not give them an added twist of cannabis to really liven them up? By infusing your sugar cookies and decorating them with spooky frosting, you and your guests will love these festive delights.

What you’ll need:

  • Cookie cutters (ideally Halloween themed shapes)
  • 1 medium bowl, 1 large bowl
  • Beater or standing mixer
  • Baking sheet

Ingredients:

  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup cannabis-infused butter (depending on how potent you want them to be, you can reduce the amount of cannabis used)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Frosting, icing, sprinkles, or anything to make your cookies Halloween themed 

Method

  • Combine the cannabutter, egg, sugar, and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Beat with a mixer until the whole mix is blended together.
  • In a separate medium-sized bowl, add the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix them all until combined.
  • Now add your dry ingredients to the wet mixture, a little bit at a time. Stir the mix until all the ingredients are fully incorporated. 
  • Form the dough you’ve made into a ball, and cover it with plastic wrap.
  • Place in the refrigerator for at least an hour, or longer.
  • When you’re ready to start baking the cookies, preheat your oven to 375°F and remove the dough from the refrigerator.
  • Sprinkle some flour onto a flat surface, and roll the dough out until it’s approximately ⅓ inch thick. 
  • Use your Halloween cookie cutters (or any shape you choose) to cut individual cookies out.
  • Transfer the shaped dough onto a baking sheet.
  • Place the cookies into the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until you can see the tops becoming a light golden brown.
  • Remove the cookies from the tray and place them onto a cooling rack
  • Once cooled, frost with orange, black, green, or any colored frosting you like, and get creative with the decoration! The spookier the better.

Cannabis-Infused Pumpkin Pie

Who doesn’t love a pumpkin pie? Especially during fall, this delicious sweet treat is a go-to for many households. So if you’re looking to spice things up this year, then the addition of cannabis will take your pie to a whole new dimension.

What you’ll need:

  • Large Mixing Bowl 
  • Spatula
  • Pie Dish

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounces of cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 cups of canned pumpkin
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 whole egg
  • 2 eggs yolks, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup of cannabutter 
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 x 9 inch pre prepared unbaked pie shell
  • 1 cup Whipped Cream 

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Beat the cream cheese in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the pumpkin and beat until combined.
  4. Add the sugar and salt. Then mix.
  5. Then, add the whole egg, egg yolks, heavy cream, and melted cannabutter. Beat again until everything is combined.
  6. Add in the vanilla, cinnamon, and ginger. Again combine the whole mix together.
  7. Pour the filling into the pie crust. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is set.
  8. Let the pie cool at room temperature before topping it with whipped cream.

THC Infused Pumpkin Seeds

After carving your pumpkin to make jack-o’-lanterns or scooping out its flesh to create another pumpkin-inspired recipe, you are left with an abundance of seeds. Roasted pumpkin seeds are a delicious snack for this time of year, and with the additional kick of potent THC, they become even better. Ideal for a late-night treat or tasty snack for any fall-themed gathering, these are well worth a try.

What you’ll need:

  • Baking sheet
  • Strainer
  • Large Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 cups of raw pumpkin seeds
  • 2-3 tablespoons of cannabutter (infused coconut oil can also be used)
  • Salt and your choice of seasonings. Such as –
    • Brown or white sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg
    • Garlic powder or cajun seasoning, etc. (Get creative with your seasonings)

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 300°F.
  • Clean your pumpkin seeds and remove any pumpkin flesh.
  • Using a strainer, lightly rinse the pumpkin seeds under cold water, then pat dry. 
  • Melt your cannabutter or coconut oil.
  • Mix in the salt and your choice of seasonings with the butter
  • Add the pumpkin seeds to the bowl a mix, making sure all the seeds are coated.
  • Next spread the pumpkin seeds out onto a baking tray (make sure none are overlapping).
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, the seeds should look a light, golden brown color.
  • Allow the seeds to cool, then enjoy!

Cannabis-Infused Pumpkin Spice Latte

Pumpkin Spice Lattes incorporate all the flavors of fall. Add to that the soothing effects of cannabis and you have a drink that’s perfect to sit back and relax with this Halloween.

What you’ll need:

  • Saucepan
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Hand whisk or Electric mixer 
  • In preparation decarboxylate kief by baking in an oven at 275℉ for approximately 25 minutes. (alternatively use cannabis infused milk)

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 gram of decarboxylated kief 
  • 2 tablespoons of canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (plus extra for garnishing)
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream whipped (or canned whipped cream)

Method

  1. In a small saucepan mix the canned pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice, and kief together.
  2. On medium heat, cook the mixture, stirring constantly for about 30 seconds.
  3. Next stir in the sugar, and cook for a further 30 seconds.
  4. Whisk in the milk and vanilla extract, and continue to stir constantly. Do not allow the mixture to boil.
  5. Next, use a hand whisk or electric mixer to mix until frothy.
  6. Grab your mugs and fill them with half of the espresso or coffee. Then pour the hot cannabis-infused pumpkin mixture over the coffee. 
  7. Add your whipped cream on top.
  8. Then garnish with pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, or nutmeg.

Cannabis Caramel Corn

Caramel corn is a great snack any time of the year, but it’s particularly good for Halloween parties or Halloween movie nights.  Mix in some of your favorite cannabis and this delicious treat gets even better!

What you’ll need:

  • Saucepan
  • Large bowl
  • X2 Baking sheets
  • Spatula

Ingredients:

  • 12 cups of popcorn (plain and already popped)
  • 1/8 cup cannabutter
  • 1/4 cup regular unsalted butter
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or maple extract

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 225°F and grease 2 large baking sheets with butter. 
  • Next, melt the cannabutter and regular butter over a medium heat. 
  • Stir in the sugar, honey, and one teaspoon of salt.
  • Continue stirring the mixture and let it come to a boil.
  • Lower the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 1½ minutes. 
  • Take the saucepan off of the heat and quickly stir in the baking soda and the extract of your choice.
  • Add your popcorn to a large mixing bowl and immediately pour the caramel mixture over it.
  • Stir the caramel and popcorn together to make sure it’s evenly coated.
  • Place the coated popcorn onto the baking sheets and sprinkle on the remaining salt.
  • Bake in the oven for 15 minutes
  • Remove from the oven and break up any large clusters that have formed 
  • Bake for another 15 minutes
  • Allow to cool slightly before eating
